Background
The Liquid Capital Group was established in April 2000, by Chris and Gregg Siepman, who have used their combined wealth of knowledge, expertise and experience to build a premier options market-making business on the major European, Asia-Pacifc, and US exchanges.
Liquid Capital Markets (LCM) in London, was the founding business of the Liquid Capital Group, and is now a significant liquidity provider for a range of European exchange-traded fixed income, index and equity options. LCM has achieved and maintains its standing in the market by its recognition of the importance of speed and accuracy, delivered by highly trained, competent and motivated staff. This is ensured by focused Trainee Trader recruitment and a comprehensive, in-house training program, designed to nurture genuine talent and encourage development of a successful career within LCM. These skills, supported by sophisticated and continually developing proprietary methodologies and technology, ensure that LCM maintains its position as a market leader in the key European contracts.
This model is successfully replicated on Asian-Pacific exchanges from offices in Sydney and Hong Kong, as well on American exchanges by way of the Chicago office.
In early 2005, the Liquid Capital Group expanded to offer a global broking service in exchange-traded futures and options to an institutional client base of, predominantly, banks, money managers and hedge funds. Operating a best execution broker model for options, Liquid Capital Securities (LCS) uses both LCM and other independent liquidity providers to capture best prices for clients and, additionally, provides a high level of service in price discovery, liquidity aggregation and trade and hedging advice.
In 2007, LCS established a New York office to offer best execution brokerage services to American institutional clients.
More recently, the Liquid Capital Group has added to a Quantitative Trading Business operating out of London, Australia and New Zealand.
The Liquid Capital Group also has a presence in Chengdu, China of highly-skilled technology professionals who complement its extensive and equally skilled technology team in the UK, Sydney and other regions.
